SYRUP

STEP 1: For the production of any particular syrup the process begins by procuring the raw materials from the store department. The raw materials are procured as per the requisition given by the production department to the store department. This requisition is given after careful calculation of all the ingredients needed to prepare a particular size of the batch.

These raw materials include active and inactive ingredients that are needed to prepare a particular batch of the medicine. The active ingredients generally included dilutions , mother tinctures and chemicals that have already been approved by our in house quality control laboratory upon their manufacturing. The inactive ingredients usually include ingredients that help in preparing the base of the syrup , improving the stability and pH of the medicine.

STEP 2: Now a base is prepared for the syrup by mixing of all the inactive ingredients. This mixing is done in 316 grade stainless steel tanks (CAN PREPARE A BATCH OF ABOUT 1000 liters) which have an automatic stirrer in them. This mixing is done for about 45 minutes to form a homogeneous liquid.

STEP 3: Active ingredients and purified water are added to this liquid in accordance with the formulation mentioned in the label claim for that particular medicine.

STEP 4: This liquid is now filtered through sparkling filter which removes impurities or suspended particles as small as 0.2 micron. A sample of this syrup is sent to the quality control department for checking.

STEP 5: After the testing and approval from the quality control department of the syrup, it is transferred to the 6 head fully automatic liquid filling machine. Here the bottles of the syrups are filled at a speed of about 6000-8000 bottles per hour.

Note: All packing material is also checked and approved by the QC department when they are received by the store department from the vendors.

STEP 6: The filling of bottles is followed by automatic labeling and packing through one of its kind automatic cartonator which ensures high accuracy and high speed packing of the products. During this process random testing is done by the IPQC (In process quality control) department of the finished goods to ensure there are no errors or quality defects with the syrup or its packing material. From here Control Samples are also taken by the QC department and necessary documentation is done. These are kept with them for a period of 5 years in case a complaint is raised against any batch from the market regarding the quality or stability of the product.

STEP 7: All of the finished goods are now dispatched to the warehouse which is extremely clean & temperature controlled to ensure that the finished goods do not go through any sort of defect due to environmental conditions.
